I’m waiting for the Pirates to make a splash in Latin America. They’ve increased their investment in the June amateur draft, ignoring MLB’s slotting system. That’s one area where teams spending wisely and aggressively can noticeably brighten their futures. The international scene is similarly ripe for exploitation.
